We are happy to answer any questions that you have about how to get started homeschooling in SC.

We have a great new resource - a wiki - about homeschooling in York County.

Who we are:

FMAH (Fort Mill Area Homeschoolers) is a support group for home schooling families in the Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, and Rock Hill area. We have joined together to encourage and support one another as we educate our children at home.

Each member is a vital part of our support group. We are all encouraged and enriched as each member contributes his or her special interests and talents to our group. As we all work together, FMAH can be a support to you as you homeschool your children.

We are not an accountability group. Please see our Homeschool Laws section for ways to legally homeschool in South Carolina.

Our Purpose:

Statement of Faith:

Although we do not require the general membership of FMAH to sign a Statement of Faith or to participate in any Christian activities, our Board Members and Chairman are Christians. The decisions we make for the group as a whole are based on our Statement of Faith, and some of our activities include prayer and Bible study.
